Rock Lititz picks up the old Weiser's Market for $3.2M
Arc One Lititz Partners, a joint venture of Rock Lititz and hotel operator As One Management, paid $3.2 million for the 4.2-acre parcel at 680 Furnace Hills Pike, directly across Studio Drive from Hotel Rock Lititz. The deed was recorded last month. Pending township approval, they plan to replace the market building with new hotel rooms and extended-stay suites aimed at Rock Lititz clients and other visitors. The JBT Bank branch on the same parcel stays put, unaffected by the sale. Andrea Shirk, president and CEO of Rock Lititz, said in a statement the group was "glad to be in a position to help Tim Weiser step away on his own terms."
The site allows for more rooms than a 70-room expansion Rock Lititz shelved back in 2024. Weiser's Lititz opened in 2002 and closed this spring after its owner posted that the market couldn't survive the outlook for small independent grocers. A quiet end for one Lancaster staple. A bigger footprint for another.

Go 'N Bananas is dropping $400K on a brewery, a drop tower, and a kids' play village
Andrew and Amber Karasik are pouring roughly $400,000 into upgrades at their Lancaster city family fun center. First up: the Congo Cafe becomes Red Rose Brewing Co., a 100-seat restaurant debuting August 1. Four house beers on draft (some made in-house, some from Reamstown-based Rural City Beer Co.), plus a Pennsylvania-made wine and liquor list, all thanks to a newly acquired brewery license. Food menu getting an overhaul too, though the burgers, pizza, and salads stay on.
Early fall brings TropiDrop, a 20-foot indoor drop ride similar to Dutch Wonderland's Frog Hopper. By year's end, LanKIDster opens: a kids' play village themed around local Lancaster businesses. The Karasiks bought Go 'N Bananas in 2025 from the Legenstein family, who opened it in 2015. They're basically turning it into a Lancaster-flavored amusement park at 1170 Garfield Ave.
