Sushi tacos have landed on North Prince Street

Nori Taco is open at 126 N. Prince St., serving crispy seaweed tacos stuffed with spicy tuna, salmon, eel, chicken teriyaki, or beef, plus rice and poke bowls. It seats about 20, including a window counter. The space has churned through tenants over the years, most recently Nahual Maya, which closed in February, and before that La Estrella, Nate's Sandwich Shoppe, Chop Sushi, and Fork N Spoon Cafe. A representative said Nori Taco is owned by a local group but declined to name them.

Seaweed instead of a tortilla has this writer interested.

A Hempfield principal ran American Ninja Warrior carrying his wife

Chad Riddle, the new principal at Rohrerstown Elementary, competed on his third season of "American Ninja Warrior" this summer with a stone made from his late wife's ashes in his hand. Caitlin Riddle was a kindergarten teacher in York County for more than a decade; she died in 2024 after a battle with Hodgkin lymphoma. "Ever since she was a little girl, she was somebody that embodied kindness and compassion," Riddle said. He fell on the fifth obstacle in qualifying but advanced on time, then climbed the vertical wall and hit the buzzer on Monday night's regional finals before his run ended in a race against two other competitors.

His 6-year-old son, Aaron, was there in a matching shirt reading Isaiah 64:8. Riddle used to compete as "The Kindergarten Ninja," but dropped the nickname this time. "It felt more authentic to run as myself."
