Ledger
Millersville is a borough about five miles southwest of the center of Lancaster. John Miller, a blacksmith and hardware store operator, founded the village of Millersburg in 1761; it became Millerstown in the 1820s and Millersville in the mid-1850s, and it was incorporated as a borough in 1932. The town grew after 1855 with the founding of the first Pennsylvania Normal School, now Millersville University, whose campus covers about a quarter of the borough.
