Mount Joy is a Lancaster County borough between Lancaster and Harrisburg, with a train station one block off Main Street. Its downtown has historic buildings, locally owned shops and restaurants, and Bube's Brewery, described as the only surviving lager-era brewery in the United States in nearly intact condition. Each Feb. 2 the town gathers at sunrise for Mount Joy Minnie, the county's only female groundhog forecaster.
