Lititz is a borough in northern Lancaster County, about nine miles north of the city of Lancaster. Moravian settlers founded it and gave it its name in 1756, and the Moravian Church on Church Square, Linden Hall, and the Fourth of July celebration in Lititz Springs Park all date to the town's early history. It is also known for pretzels and chocolate: the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery opened here in 1861, and Wilbur Chocolate introduced Wilbur Buds in 1894.
